Harmonic Sequence is an exploration into harmonics utilizing sacred geometry as a template. The original painting I created over a 6-year time frame using Oil paint on canvas. For thousands of years sacred geometry has been practiced by ancient civilizations to explore a deeper unity in the cosmos and to bring that unity into the world through temple building and ancient megaliths. In my own art practice, I wanted to explore this deeper dimension on a two-dimensional surface. The work itself is a mediative process. There is an underlying harmony in nature. It is the foundation of our existence. The painting is a reflection on the harmonic resonance of number and form.
